Characterization of anomalous forces in dielectric rotors

چکیده

We performed several measurements of anomalous forces on a dielectric rotor under electrostatic operation conditions. The device operated constant and intense angular velocity for each high voltage applied. were made in similar way to an analogue magnetic gyroscope, by considering clockwise counterclockwise rotations. found that there is significant weight reduction the case, one order magnitude higher than case. In addition, we detected asymmetry observation effect, is, are smaller results rotation values applied device. also propose theoretical model explain quantitative effect based average macroscopic observables concluded it consistent with experimental findings.

Inertial effects in anomalous dielectric relaxation.

The inertia corrected Debye model of rotational Brownian motion of polar molecules is generalized to fractional dynamics (anomalous diffusion) in the context of the fractional Klein-Kramers equation. The fractal generalization of the Gross-Sack solution for the complex dielectric susceptibility chi(omega) for an assembly of fixed axis rotators is given. The high-frequency behavior of chi(omega)...

Phospholipid-bound molecular rotors: synthesis and characterization.

Molecular rotors are fluorescent molecules with a viscosity-sensitive quantum yield that are often used to measure viscosity changes in cell membranes and liposomes. However, commercially available molecular rotors, such as DCVJ (1) do not localize in cell membranes but rapidly migrate into the cytoplasm leading to unreliable measurements of cell membrane viscosity. To overcome this problem, we...

A surface forces platform for dielectric measurements

Methods are described to implement dielectric spectroscopy ~frequency range 10 –10 Hz) within a surface forces apparatus by using as electrodes silver sheets on the backside of mica. These methods are applied to study the competitive effects of surface alignment, confinement, and shear field on 5CB ~5-cyanobiphenyl!, a nematic liquid crystal at the experimental temperature of 25 °C. In the plan...

Anomalous dielectric behavior of water in ionic newton black films.

The electrostatics of two charged surfactant layers in aqueous media (surfactant/water/surfactant films) is investigated using molecular dynamics simulations. In the films studied (with a surfactant-surfactant distance from approximately 35 A to contact) we observe an anomalous dielectric response of water. The electrostatic potential phi(z) inside the aqueous core of the films (containing bulk...
